About Hamna

More on her writing journey
Hamna began writing as a teenager, long before she trained as a physician or mental health professional. What started as a personal outlet through poetry and journaling gradually became a serious creative pursuit. She began writing novels at 14, daring to complete a novel. However, her first work to be published was a poetry collection titled The Torrent from My Soul: Poems of A Born Dreamer (2011) as a college student. Following that, her poetry has appeared in several online journals and anthologies.
Sandcastles, her debut novel was first published in 2018 under her pseudonym and republished in November 2024. Her second novel, The Storyteller, also published as Sana Rose in 2020, is awaiting republication in 2026. In 2023, Smitten, a poetry collection, was also published. Now, she has completed her third novel, another psychological mystery, and is in the workshop of more fiction projects.
In addition to fiction and poetry, Hamna has written articles on the writing life, creativity, personal development and mental well-being. Her dual perspective as a writer and therapist allows her to approach storytelling with both empathy and insight.
